When I started the business I thought I’d identified a gap in the market with the combination of words and pictures created into beautiful, personalised prints. This business evolved out of the fact that I was struggling to find a suitable birthday present for a friend. Having wasted hours trawling the shops in person and online I had a brainwave and created a framed print for her using personalised words and photos. She absolutely loved it and showed it to all her family and friends and suddenly I was receiving orders!
Having delivered these orders I decided to do some research to see if this was something I could offer commercially and whilst there were lots of companies offering personalised word prints there were none doing what I’d done incorporating photos into the design to make it truly unique and bespoke to the recipient. And the rest as they say is history … BUT what is becoming very clear to me is that whilst there is definitely a demand for those kind of personalised prints, what people really want is something totally unique and absolutely personal. There are lots of websites now offering variations on the theme of personalised typographic prints but there is a lot of similarity on what’s on offer and many have lots of restrictions on the number of words or colours or frames.
With my background in the commercial design agency field I am totally at ease with bespoke orders and I don’t impose any kind of restrictions. I want to produce a personalised gift that the recipient will treasure and that does seem to be proving a hit! So look out for some changes to the website coming soon and in the meantime here’s just a few recent bespoke orders.
